Through the years, we have cultivated our experience to offer dynamic lines of leathers. Our products include traditional, old world tannages and techniques, carefully updated with modern applications. Today, our leathers are still made by hand, the same way as generations ago.
Our experience in leather industry helps us to source the finest quality of wet blue from all around the world. Presently we are sourcing raw material from India, UK Domestic, New Zealand, Africa and Middle East.

Acel Respect the environment! It has chosen to be a sustainable tannery, recognizing in the social and environmental responsibility the principles that guide its current and future business accomplishment, while safeguarding the future generations.
We live with objective the totally or semi-total reduction of those all effects caused by industrial process, that have got negative implication on the environments, with the use of materials and renewable productive process.
We firmly believe that beautiful products can only be made by people who are satisfied with their working conditions and salaries, and who feel valued within an organization. We operate our business on the principles of transparency, accountability and respect for our employees, ensuring we meet our own strict standards for health and safety, fair pay, and zero tolerance for discrimination.
We have developed a relationship with a locally run NGO (non-profit), which is essential to us as very few of our artisans speak English or have access to the Internetand banking. Our NGO partners work with us to distribute payments and assist artisans in shipping completed orders. The organization maintains a 70% membership of female artisans who are being educatedand assisted with various aspects of business building, empowering them toward financial independence for themselves and their families. In addition we give monetary grants to our artisan partners from remote villages and regions across India to help them purchase new equipment or other needed items. Not only do we refuse under age labour, we endeavor to assist our employees with admitting their children in schools for quality education.
At Acel, respecting and preserving the environment for future generations is of utmost importance. We believe style and affordability does not have to come at the cost of a social conscience. Acel sustainability initiative is a holistic strategy that tackles the challenges of sustainable development [I have used almost your exact wording here - can you clarify what you mean by this?] systematically with clearly defined targets in the following areas:
Streamlining processes to reduce energy and water requirements, making more efficient use of chemicals and finding new ways of utilizing byproducts.
Improving leather properties during and after use: longer service life, minimizing waste and employing good recycling practices.
Developing new products and chemical systems that utilize renewable raw materials and eliminate all substances with damaging toxic properties.
The leather we use is a byproduct of the food industry and as such is upcycled into quality products of enduring value. We strictly adhere to the standards of REACH / RSL and ensure that our products are free from AZO, PCP, Formaldehyde, Lead, Cadmium and all other prohibited amines. Our new range focus is to addresschromium allergy by producing chrome-free garments. In addition, our eco-sustainable production processesreduce the consumption of electricity, water, gas, chemicals and CO2 emissions to the atmosphere.
